This humble dual occupancy project for Women’s Property Initiatives replaces a 3-bedroom suburban villa with two courtyard homes, one 3-bedroom and one 2-bedroom.

The site master-planning resolves the site constraints of two vehicle crossovers, train noise from the rail reserve along the eastern boundary and encroachment of neighbouring buildings, while optimising northern orientation to internal and external living spaces.

Individuality for each home is achieved formally through expressive roof forms and is reinforced through the change of brick colour to each home’s façade. 

Construction completed in 2023.
