Hoppers Crossing SDA
Justin – Client Commercial Operations Manager Gelibrand
“We love this house. We’ve had zero issues in the past 12 months since we first moved in. The clients, staff and Gellibrand board are all extremely happy, more like this please!”
“Behaviors have reduced significantly, the space the working really well for her and the bathroom is amazing.”
This new Specialist
Disability Accommodation (SDA) project in Hoppers Crossing are
custom designed homes for three residents
with acute needs. The residents are long-term
house mates, previously residing in a house that was no longer fit for purpose and in
fact inhibited their lifestyles.
The development is for
two units, one 2-bedroom and one 1-bedroom dwelling, with a centrally located
and shared onsite overnight accommodation. Each unit has a front door to the
street and their own front yard and sense of address. The resident in unit 1,
who enjoys sitting on the verandah and watching the world go by has a built-in
seat to facilitate their joy.
Formally the project
plays with the suburban gable form and screening hit-and-miss brickwork, across
the front façade, which are used in combination to reinforce the separate homes,
addresses and identities.
We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and their continuing connection to ancestors, country and community.
We pay our respects to their Elders both past and present and to their enduring cultures.
